Whether it’s your first trip with Capt. Jake or you’re returning for another day on the water, here you’ll find answers that will help you know what to expect before you arrive.

Meeting times vary depending on your trip and the plan for the day. Before your charter, Jake will contact you with your meeting time, launch location and everything you need to know before you arrive.

Plans can change, and we understand that. You can cancel or modify your trip up to 7 days before your scheduled charter for a full refund. Cancellations, changes or no-shows within 7 days of your trip are non-refundable.

Fishing trips run rain or shine whenever possible, but safety always comes first. If weather conditions are unsafe, Jake will work with you to reschedule your trip. If rescheduling isn’t possible, you’ll receive a full refund.

Meeting locations depend on the lake you’re fishing. You’ll receive your exact meeting location and trip details before your charter.

What you can expect to catch depends on the lake, the season and current fishing conditions. Target species include:

  • Lake Wylie: Catfish and crappie
  • Lake Wateree: Catfish and striped bass

Jake will recommend the best lake and target species based on the time of year and current fishing conditions.

Yes. You’re welcome to keep your catch as long as it’s within current regulations.

Since there aren’t fish cleaning stations at the lakes, be sure to bring a cooler to take home your catch.

Absolutely! While never expected, gratuities are always appreciated.

If you feel Jake provided a great experience, a tip of 20% or more is customary for guided fishing charters.

Yes. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required for your trip. You can purchase your license online before your charter using the link below.

Yes. Beer, hard seltzers and wine are welcome aboard. Hard liquor isn’t permitted on the lake, but there are several waterfront restaurants and bars where we can stop for a drink during your trip if you’d like.

You’ll fish aboard Jake’s SeaArk fishing boat, designed for safe, comfortable days on the water.

With plenty of room to fish, quality equipment and a heated enclosure for colder weather, it’s well suited for fishing Lake Wylie and Lake Wateree throughout the year.

Maximum number of guests is 6 (plus your Captain).

Absolutely! If you’re having a great day on the water and would like to fish a little longer, Jake will do his best to accommodate your request.

Trip extensions are subject to availability and the day’s booking schedule.
